Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction supervision, inspection, engineering layout, and record maintenance for various projects in District Nine. Quality Assurance (QA) testing for hot mix asphalt (HMA), Portland cement concrete (PCC), soils, and aggregate. The Consultant may be required to furnish a Liaison Resident Engineer complete with staff capable to run individual projects and work directly with the department's Resident Engineers to ensure adequate engineering services required for these projects are in place. The Consultant's work force shall be adequate to allow completion of these projects in a timely manner and in accordance with the Department's Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The Consultant must complete and submit final measurements, calculations, and contract record documentation to the department no later than six (6) weeks after completion of each project as required. Consultant staff should expect night work on some projects. Staffing levels could range from six (6) to eight (8) inspectors during peak construction season. The completion date for this contract will be 48 months after authorization to proceed.
