The New City Hall Building will be located on a 30-acre site along Lancaster Rd., across from NIC. (parcel no. R00000068500). Bid Packages 06 - Structural, Miscellaneous and Ornamental Steel Supply, Bp 07 - Structural, Miscellaneous and Ornamental Steel Installation, Bp08 - Elevators, Bp09 - Fire Suppression, Bp10 - Plumbing & Piping, Bp11 - Hvac & Controls, Bp12 - Electrical & Systems to the New City Hall Project Project is already under construction and has a budget of $15 million. This is a CM/GC project so going out in phased bid packages for scopes of work. The City has selected Walker Construction, Inc. of Spokane, Washington as the Construction Manager / General Contractor (CM/GC) following Idaho Code 54-4511. All bids must be valid for a period of 60 days following the date for receiving the bids. Walker Construction reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days and said bid shall remain in full force and effect during said time. Walker Construction further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the Contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of the City of Rathdrum or to reject all bids. Each bid shall be accompanied by any of the following bid security in an amount equal to five percent of the total price, an acceptable cashier's or certified check made payable to Walker Construction, Inc., an acceptable bid bond executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Idaho and whose name appears on the current Treasury Department Circular 570, or cash. Any Bid not accompanied by the aforementioned required item shall be deemed to be a non-responsive Bid. Any bid that has a dollar value equal to $50,000 or greater, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price may be required from the Contractor to whom the work is awarded.
