Bid Intent Optional Bid Intent Deadline 11/18/2025 06:00 PM EST General Requirements - Insurance Required Award Requirements - All or None Award The Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) is soliciting bids from qualified communications vendors to upgrade the current emergency radio base dispatch systems at North Star Volunteer Fire Department stations. This will include delivery, installation, configuration, and testing new radio console equipment, as well as the removal of the current system equipment at the North Star Volunteer Fire Department (NSVFD) facilities located in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. North Star Volunteer Fire Department responded to 800 to 1500 calls annually. Due to the nature of these emergency requests, it is critical that the upgraded system is consistent and reliable. Al parts, delivery, insta lation, and the testing of al items identified in this Scope of Services shal be included in the total pricing. Al items must be configured with the current equipment at the North Star Volunteer Fire area. Al equipment shal be models of current production, latest design and technology, new and unused unless otherwise specified. This project wil replace the current communications equipment at various North Star Volunteer Fire facilities. The locations for instalation and testing are to be held at the North Star Fire Station's #31 (2358 Bradway Road, North Pole, AK 99705), #33 (3288 Hurst Road, North Pole, AK 99705) , #34 (1260 Dennis Road, North Pole, AK 99705), and #35 (3481 Old Richardson Highway, North Pole, AK 99705). The new equipment must interface with the current radio system, which consists of Motorola and Telex equipment, as wel as meet al current state and federal requirements. Eight (8) consoles are to be instaled at Station #31, two (2) consoles are to be instaled at Station #33, two (2) consoles are to be instaled at Station #34, and two (2) consoles are to be instaled at Station #35. One (1) gateway and ethernet switch wil be instaled at each Station.
