Renovation of an educational facility in Jersey City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Bidders are required to comply with specified legislative requirements. Bidders must submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities owning ten percent or more of any type of stock or interest. Bidders on public works projects exceeding $20,000 must first have been prequalified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and submit required affidavits and forms with the bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to the Jersey City Board of Education for 10% of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000. All contractors listed in the proposal must have a valid and current New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate at the time the proposal is received. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the best interest of the board. Failure to comply with instructions or to complete and submit all required forms may result in disqualification and rejection of the bid. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents, and consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1. Demolition of the existing damaged curved brick entry facades, associated louvers, ceiling and grilles and replace with metal panel cladding over a metal stud framework.
