State Route 248 & Bashan Road Waterline Improvements project includes replacement of approximately 17,000 feet of existing 10" and 6" AC main waterline with 6,300 feet of 12" and 10,700 feet of 10" PVC C900 along State Route 248 and Bashan Road. The project also includes installation of valves, hydrants, service lines, meter pits, and other miscellaneous appurtenances. Bidders are required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid Price or certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit equal to ten percent of the bid amount. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. Each Bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, ancestry, or age. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project shall to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Meigs County as determined by the Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Determinations.
