The Project includes the following Work: Improvements consist of approximately 16,300 linear feet (LF) of 48-inch and 42-inch diameter wastewater interceptor from Enclave at Brushy Creek Lift Station to the upstream end of the Brushy Creek Interceptor Phase 3 project. The project also includes the decommissioning of the Enclave at Brushy Creek Lift Station. The purpose of the project is to facilitate continued, rapid growth in the City of Hutto which is necessitating the decommissioning of the Enclave at Brushy Creek Lift Station which has reached capacity and is not feasible to expand. Each proposal must be accompanied by proposal security made payable to owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of proposer's total amount proposal and in the form of a certified or cashier's check or a bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of paragraph 6.01 of the general conditions. - Deadline for Question Submittal 5:00 PM on 12/10/2025 - Any questions, clarifications, concerns or requests for general information should be submitted via the bid portal . The Workis located withinthe City ofGeorgetown as shown ondie LocationMap included inthe Plans. C. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, die following: 1. List Items ofConstruction This specification covers the requirements for the prevention ofenvironmental pollution inconformance with applicable laws and regulations, during and as the result of construction operations under this Contract For the purpose ofthis specification, environmental pollution is defined as the presence of chemical, physical, or biological elements or agents which adversely affect human health or welfare; unfavorably alter ecological balances ofimportance to human life; affect other species ofimportance to man; or degrade the utility ofthe environment for aesthetic and/or recreational purposes. The control of environmental pollution requires consideration of air, water and land, and involves management ofnoise and solid waste, as well as other pollutants. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION PROCEDURES Schedule and conduct all workin a manner thatwill minimize the erosion ofsoilsinthe area ofthe work. Provide erosion control measures such as diversion channels, sedimentation or filtration systems,berms, seeding, mulching or other special surface treatments as are required to preventsilting and muddying of streams, rivers, impoundments, lakes, etc. All erosion control measures shall be inplace in an areaprior to any construction activity in that area. Specific requirements are specified in Section G6- SEDIMENTATION AND TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL. These Specifications are intended to ensure that construction is achieved with a minimumofdisturbance to die existing ecological balance between a water resource and its surroundings. These are general guidelines. It is the Contractor's responsibilityto determine the specific constructiontechniques to meet these guidelines. All phases ofsedimentation and erosion control shall comply with and be subjectto the approval ofthe Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and U.S. EPA. This specificationcoversthe administrative and procedural requirements for Project closeout, including but not limited to: Closeout procedures. Final cleaning. Adjusting. Projectrecord documents.
