Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Marion, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a 456-square-foot, one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.
The project is for the removal and replacement of sidewalks and tree wells within the city limits. The scope includes the enlargement of 38 existing tree spaces in sidewalk areas by approximately 12 square feet each, and the installation of dual-layer rubber tree wells (color to be selected by the owner) in all 38 locations, to meet or exceed the specified requirements. The approximate area per tree space after enlargement will be 28 square feet (excluding the tree). Instructions to bidders: The contractor must be licensed by the State of South Carolina, provide proof of Worker's Compensation and General Liability Insurance, and include a certified 5% bid bond. All work must be covered by a 100% payment and performance bond. Documentation must be submitted with the bid, and the bid price should be listed by square foot. All bids must be sealed and delivered to the specified address, with 'Sidewalk Replacement' marked on the envelope. The City of Marion reserves the right to accept or refuse any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Compliance with state and local codes and applicable project requirements is mandatory.
