For construction services 16 North Separation Project Phase 1 NOTE: Receipt of all addendum(s) must be acknowledged by entry of the addendum number in the requisite space on the bid form. FAILURE of a bidder to acknowledge addendum(s) may cause the bid to be rejected as incomplete. The City of Newark, Ohio reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility. WORK 1. This Project is located in Newark, Ohio and is approximately bounded on the south side by St Clair St, on the north side by S Quentin Rd and Charles St, on the west side by Mt Vernon Rd and N 12 th St, and on the east side Mt Vernon Rd and Elmwood Ave. Additional work along North Street from Mt Vernon Rd east to the North Fork Licking River is also included. The project includes work on the following streets within these boundaries: Mt Vernon Rd; Elmwood Ave; Woods Ave; Ruggland Terrace; St Clair St; Commodore St; W Sheilds St; North St; Moull St; Fairfield Ave; Jefferson Rd; Rugg Ave; S Quentin St; the alley between Mt Vernon Rd and Elmwood Ave where Log Pond Run is; the alley between Mt Vernon Rd and Elmwood Ave, and just south of Oak St; the alley between Moull St and Fairfield Ave, and north of Eddy St; and the alley between Rugg Ave and S Quentin Rd, and north of Woods Ave. 2. The Project includes but is not limited to; separating combined sewers and constructing new sanitary and storm sewers by means of open-cut, with all associated manholes and appurtenances; replacement of potable drinking water piping including all associated valves, hydrants, and appurtenances; disconnecting residential roof downspouts from existing combined sewer system; and replacing streets including curbs, sidewalks, and accessories. The Work will include trenchless installation of storm sewer pipe underneath the CSX Railroad. The Work will include the installation of a filter diaphragm along the levee of the North Fork Licking Valley River for the 48-inch storm relief sewer; as well as the installation of a headwall for the relief sewer to the River, including flap gate and erosion control measures. 3. A single contract will be issue A single contract will be issued by the Owner for constructing the Project, which will cover all scopes of work necessary to construct the Project. 4. The Contractor awarded each General Contract (General Contractor) will be responsible for the performance and coordination of any and all subcontractors and suppliers either directly or indirectly contracted with the General Contractor. 5. Owner will provide Bidders access to the Project site to conduct such examinations, investigations, explorations, tests, and studies as Bidder deems necessary for submission of a Bid. Bidder shall fill all holes, clean up, and restore the Site to its former condition upon completion of such explorations, investigations, tests, and studies. Bidder shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations and Owner's policies relative to excavation and utility locates.
