In general, the improvements on which proposals are requested will require the installation of a gas main, as described below: Base Bid 830 lineal feet of 4 polyethylene gas main, 470 lineal feet of 6 polyethylene gas main, 165 lineal feet of 12 polyethylene gas main, installing 13 gas service from the gas main to the gas curb valve, installing 605 linear feet of new gas service piping by directionally drilling between the curb box and gas meter, installing 225 linear feet of new interior steel gas house piping, interior steel gas house piping to be installed by a licensed plumber and inspected by the City Building Department, hard and soft restoration, and other miscellaneous items. A licensed plumber must be registered with the City of Hamilton. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
