Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Cantonment, Florida. Conceptual plans call civil work for a fire station.
Qualified firms must demonstrate documented experience in the preparation of design criteria packages for public safety or other governmental facilities and meet all minimum qualifications established. The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is seeking Letters of Interest from firms to serve as the Design Criteria Professional (DCP) for the New Kingsfield Road Fire Station Project. The selected DCP Consultant will be responsible for preparing the Design Criteria Package for a new, ground-up, one-to-two-story, Category 5 hurricane-resistant fire station on County-owned property at 551 W. Kingsfield Road, Cantonment, Florida. The facility will include at least two apparatus bays, with space for potential future expansion, and associated living, training, and administrative spaces for three rotating firefighting crews. The DCP Consultant will represent the County in the selection of the Design-Builder, evaluate submittals, review and approve detailed working drawings for compliance, and evaluate construction for adherence to the design criteria during construction. All work is to support a subsequent Design-Build Contract for the project.
