The City is seeking contractors to furnish all necessary supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to supply, install, and repair various types of floor coverings and flooring materials. These materials include carpeting, vinyl tile, carpet tiles, rubber tiles, and other cement coverings. The work will take place at various municipal and school locations throughout the City on an as-needed basis as determined by the Facilities Department, with each project estimated to be less than $50,000. Up to five contracts may be awarded to the lowest responsible and eligible bidders. The total estimated value for all contracts shall not exceed $750,000. Contracts will have a term of three years. For contracts exceeding $150,000, DCAMM certification is required. The City’s goal is twenty percent MWBE participation, and Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates will apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
