Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

The Southcoast LGBTQ Network, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Electrical Contractors for the Electrical Work located at 60 Eighth Street, New Bedford, MA, in accordance with the documents prepared by J. M. Booth and Associates, Inc., located at 628 Pleasant St., Suite 428, New Bedford, MA. The South Coast LGBTQ+ Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2014 by seven LGBTQ+ agencies and allied organizations whose mission is to create and support a thriving LGBTQ+ community on Massachusetts' South Coast where individuals can freely, safely, and joyously celebrate their true selves and realize their full potential. The work of this contract, in general, consists of new electrical power, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm system, as indicated on the bid documents. Bids are subject to MGL c.149 sec. 44A - 44J and to minimum wage rates as required by MGL c.149 sec. 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work ELECTRICAL and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. The Awarding Authority is under contract with a General Contractor who will be responsible for work related to this project scope (ie. Framing, drywall, flooring, painting, insulation, other architectural work, etc.). The selected contractor shall coordinate their work with the General Contractor throughout the project. The work of this contract will be partially funded by the American Rescue Plan Act Funding. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) percent of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the South Coast LGBTQ Network. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity", as amended by executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60).
