Site work for a water / sewer project in West Jefferson, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work consists of upgrading the existing Greenfield Pump Station equipment to increase its flowrate capacity for future development within the capture area. The proposed improvements include installation of two submersible wastewater pumps (Grundfos SEV.30.A30.250.2.52H.EX.61 R.A) set to 200 GPM at 143.7 feet of Total Dynamic Head (TDH), a 10k Muffin Monster mounted within the wet well, mercury float switch configuration, electrical panel, a 100kw generator, and new electrical wiring. The existing SCADA equipment will be reconnected to the new electrical improvements. A certified check or cashiers check payable to Town of West Jefferson or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under North Carolina laws in the amount equal to five percent of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder must furnish separate, 100 percent Performance and Payment Bonds in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in North Carolina and make efforts to use small and minority owned business enterprises. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The Town of West Jefferson reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals and to waive any informalities.
