Sealed proposals in duplicate are requested for the construction of "ACADEMY OF LAW & PUBLIC SAFETY (ALPS) ROOF & HVAC SYSTEM REPLACEMENT & MISCELLANEOUS UPGRADES (BASE BID & ALTERNATE BIDS AS SPECIFIED)" at 255 West End Ave., Long Branch, New Jersey. A Lump Sum Bid is required for General Construction Work, including the following Prime Subcontractors: Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron Work, Heating and Ventilating & Refrigeration Systems and Equipment Work, Electrical Work, and Plumbing and Gas Fitting Work as applicable. Secondary Subcontractors are to be provided as required for the project scope. Bidders and major subcontractors must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and must submit a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification and an Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts. Relevant classifications for Prime and Subcontractors are specified. The full scope is to be completed according to the Drawings, Project Manual, and other relevant documents. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked for the project. Bids that propose modifications or substitutions to the requirements will be rejected as non-responsive. Compliance with applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, and regulations, including affirmative action regulations, is required.
