The project involves the installation of approximately 6,200 linear feet of 8-inch PE 4710 DR11 IPS water main, 120 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main (PC 350), and associated appurtenances along Highway 280 from Peckerwood Road to Blackwelder Road. There is an additive alternate to install approximately 7,000 additional linear feet of 8-inch PE 4710 DR11 IPS water main, 620 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main (PC 350), and associated appurtenances along Highway 280 from Blackwelder Road to Main Street. The project must be substantially completed within 120 calendar days after the contract time commences and fully completed and ready for final payment within 150 calendar days after the contract time commences. Copies of bidding documents may be obtained from the issuing agent. Only properly licensed contractors are eligible to bid, and bidders must carry the MU Municipal and Utility classification as listed in the latest edition of the Roster of the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. Nonresident contractors must submit evidence of proper registration and a certificate of good standing from the Alabama Department of Revenue. All or part of this project may be funded by a subaward of ARPA funds, and all terms and conditions of ARPA funding apply. Bidders must be eligible to receive federal funding and not be debarred or suspended from doing so. Preference shall be given to resident contractors according to state law.
