The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (GLA) requires a Weapons Detection System (WDS) to enhance safety and security across its campuses. The contractor shall provide a turnkey solution that includes installation, configuration, training, and maintenance of the WDS. The system must be capable of detecting weapons and other prohibited items without the need for physical contact or bag checks, allowing for non-invasive screening of individuals entering the facilities. The WDS must integrate with existing VA security infrastructure and provide real-time alerts and analytics. The contract includes a base year and two option years, covering the period from February 1, 2026, through January 31, 2029.
