The City of Marietta (the "City") invites proposals from qualified contractors ("Proposer" or "Contractor") to implement a Fall 2025 Tree Planting Program. The program's purpose is to enhance the urban tree canopy, improve streetscapes, support environmental quality, and contribute to community beautification. The City seeks a contractor to supply, plant, and guarantee a specified number of trees at designated locations within the City. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and services necessary to perform the following: Consult with the Tree Commission to finalize the species list, planting locations, planting schedule, and any site preparation needs. Supply healthy, single-trunk, nursery-grown trees meeting American Standard for Nursery Stock (ANSI Z60.1) or equivalent, suitable for local climate and soils. All trees supplied shall be a minimum of 1.25" caliper. All burlap and retaining wire around the "ball" will be removed prior to planting. Plant the trees, including excavation, backfill, soil amendments (if required), staking/guying, mulching, watering during the establishment period, and protection from damage. Planting will conform to City of Marietta Tree Planting as described in the Marietta Tree Commission Rules and Regulations. Coordinate with the City to identify planting sites (public right-of-way, parks, medians, etc.), verify underground utilities, and coordinate any required locates. Provide a maintenance/establishment period (e.g., watering, pruning, replacement of dead trees) for a specified period (e.g., one year). Provide a guarantee/warranty on the trees (e.g., replacement of dead or unsatisfactory trees during the guarantee period). Submit an as-built planting map listing species, tag numbers, planting locations, sizes, and any modifications from the original plan. Comply with all applicable City, state, or federal regulations for tree planting, public right-of-way work, environmental protection, and safety.
