Description

Renovation of a museum in Marietta, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,400-square-foot museum.

Ohio History Connection (OHC) invites proposals for the design, fabrication, and installation of a roughly 3400 square foot exhibit at the Ohio River Museum. The exhibit will focus on the natural history of the Ohio and Muskingum rivers at their confluence, as well as the stories of the peoples who have inhabited the area over time and the communities they build, challenges they faced, and changes they brought to the area. With the overarching theme of: "The enduring energy of the Ohio River flows through all of us." The museum building itself is currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of February 26, 2028. The exhibition hall at the Ohio River Museum will be minimally finished upon completion of the building and final decisions about wall treatments, electrical, HVAC, etc. will be based on what will best accommodate the proposed exhibition. The final design will be chosen by: March 16, 2026 Shop drawings are due by: October 16, 2026 Exhibit opens: February 26, 2028
