All contractors required to pre-qualify for Elk Grove Unified School District projects must adhere to specific procedures, submit certain documentation and information annually, provide quarterly certifications or updates, and be found pre-qualified by the District quarterly as a condition of bidding any District project during any quarterly period. The pre-qualification process is mandatory for all General Contractors and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Subcontractors bidding on projects projected to cost $1,000,000 or more. Pre-qualification packages, including a questionnaire and financial statement to be verified under oath, must be completed and submitted for review. The District will use these materials to rate contractors based on the size and scope of contracts for which they are qualified to bid, reserving the right to check other sources and use objective evaluation criteria and references in their decisions. Each entity in joint ventures must be separately qualified. Any inaccuracies or changes in application information must be immediately updated and certified under penalty of perjury. If prequalified, a quarterly update must be provided; otherwise, a new full pre-qualification package will be required. Pre-qualification packages should be marked “CONFIDENTIAL PREQUALIFICATION” and delivered electronically or to the Facilities and Planning Department, Elk Grove Unified School District, 9510 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Room 206, Elk Grove, CA 95624, Attention: Pre-Qualification. Questionnaire answers and financial statements are confidential, except as otherwise required by law, and contractor names are public records subject to disclosure. No bid will be accepted from contractors or listed MEP subsidiaries who have not met all these requirements.
