**As of January 28, 2026, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** Adrian Public Schools (APS) is soliciting bids to upgrade its HVAC and BMS Systems at the Adrian High School (AHS). The Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to identify a qualified Contractor(s) to provide a complete upgrade solution including but not limited to the HVAC unit ventilators and BMS upgrades, installation and repair work, all documents required for permits and inspections, shipping, storage, demolition and removal as a result of the upgrades, hazardous material removal, maintenance documentation, utility rebates, warranty, and all of the products and services required to upgrade HVAC equipment to meet building code requirements. The following facilities are included in the HVAC and BMS Upgrades Question Deadline 11/17/2025 at 1:00 PM ET Questions will only be accepted in writing via email sent to: Dan Peña dppena@adrian.k12.mi.us Brandon Garland bgarland@adrian.k12.mi.us> Diane E. Mills dmills@occupantcare.com. All questions and answers will be distributed to all bidders. All respondents to this RFP are subject to instructions communicated in this document and Contractors are cautioned to completely review the entire RFP and follow instructions carefully. APS reserves the right to reject any or all statements of qualifications or proposals, and to waive technicalities and informalities at the discretion of APS. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of your bid must be provided with your bid, if you are bidding the mechanical equipment. Bonds for all unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of the bid. A performance and payment bond may be required by APS. The successful Contractor shall, within seven (7) calendar days of the Notice of Award and in any event before execution of the Contract or issuance of the Notice to Proceed, furnish to the Owner a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum, executed by a surety duly authorized to do business in the State of Michigan and acceptable to the Owner. The Performance Bond shall guarantee faithful performance of the Contract and shall remain in full force and effect until Final Acceptance of the Work by the Owner; the Payment Bond shall guarantee payment of all obligations arising under the Contract. Bond forms shall be the Owner's standard forms or AIA standard bond forms approved in advance by the Owner. Premiums for the bonds are the sole responsibility of the Contractor. Failure to deliver acceptable bonds within the required time shall constitute grounds for rescission of the award and exercise of any remedies available to the Owner. APS Administrators reserve the right to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive any irregularities, and in general, to make the award in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the District. The District is not obligated to select the lowest price. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
