The Village Administrator of the Village of Plymouth, Ohio gives notice that a contract is available with the Village for professional design services. The services to be provided are for the Plymouth East Road Improvement Project. This Project is to resurface Plymouth East Road from West Branch Huron River to North Street to improve safety and improve the deteriorating roadway. The roadway will be widened from 18' to 20'. Drainage will be perpetuated with this project. The existing roadway is an urban local roadway and is approximately 18' in width asphalt pavement with no shoulder. The proposed work is to widen the roadway to 20' in width from the bridge over West Branch Huron River to North Street 1945 feet. Asphalt resurfacing will be from West Branch Huron River to North Street. No work will occur on the bridge that was replaced in 2017. The Village is offering the opportunity for a professional design services contract to provide for the design, preparation of probable cost, bid documents, engineering construction services, and other related professional engineering services associated with the Plymouth East Road Improvement Project. Services to be performed are, but not limited to: 1. Design and engineering of the Plymouth East Road Improvement Project; 2. Prepare probable cost; 3. Prepare bid and project contract(s); 4. Assist Village with award of contract(s); 5. Represent the Village with the contractor; 6. Conduct progress meetings with the construction and monitor work schedules; 7. Provide a site project engineer and inspectors, including experienced technicians; 8. Monitor prevailing wage compliance; 9. Monitor the contractor's contract compliance; 10. Provide on-site inspectors throughout all important stages of the project; 11. Provide the Village with professionally written and verbal progress reports; 12. Report to the Village any deviations from the contract with the contractor; 13. Inspect the quality of materials used; 14. Resolve contract disputes; 15. Assure project completion in accordance with contract and accepted professional engineer standards. Applicants may be any firm or person legally engaged in rendering professional design services. Applicants shall disclose the level or number of engineers, technicians, and inspectors and their respective technical training, education and experience who would be assigned to perform the services requested. Applicants shall disclose the qualified personnel, equipment and facilities that are available to perform the professional services. In addition, the applicant shall provide a listing of its performance of same or similar services completed within the preceding three (3) years including the names, addresses and telephone numbers of other clients of such same or similar services. Factors such as control of costs, quality of work, and meeting of deadlines as evaluated by previous clients will be considered.
