Site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade theater / auditorium; one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The purpose is to obtain Statements of Qualifications from professional design consulting firms for concept design, construction drawings, permitting, and construction management for an addition to Elizabeth Brinkley Park. The project site is a relatively flat, wooded area. The Park Plan at a minimum includes clearing and grading, retention ponds, a small amphitheater, picnic shelters, lighting, paved parking lot, ADA walking trail, and repair/upgrades to existing park facilities, with possible inclusion of public restroom facilities. The required services may include: Master Planning, Stakeholder Meeting Coordination, Surveying, Conceptual and Design Development, Construction Documents, Architectural, Civil/Structural/Hydraulic/Environmental Engineering, Transportation/Traffic Analysis, Wetland Delineation, Construction Administration, Utility Coordination, Public Presentation, and Detailed Cost Estimating. Services may be combined or separated depending on funding. Interested firms must submit a qualifications package addressing firm details, relevant experience, firm history, governmental project experience, personnel information, other work commitments, references for similar contracts in the past five years, and data on at least three comparable projects from the past five years. Selection will consider firm experience in similar projects, staff ability and workload, proposed design approach, project budget adherence, staff and consultant availability for the schedule, firm’s ethical/professional standing and financial ability, and any other applicable factors. The Town reserves the right to substitute sub-consultants or reject any or all responses. The work site and workforce must be drug free, with all individuals free of felony convictions, and a commitment to this is required.
