The purpose of this solicitation is to acquire maintenance and repair services for the water tower critical deficiency items and some preventative maintenance items found on the inspection report at Hickory Knob State Resort Park. It is the intent of this solicitation to procure repair and maintenance services for the water tower critical deficiency items and some preventative maintenance items found on the inspection performed July 22, 2025 at Hickory Knob State Resort Park. Established in 1973, Hickory Knob is a picturesque, resort state park with 18-hole championship golf course, 77-unit motel, restaurant, campground and access to many types of outdoor recreation by the scenic shores of Lake Thurmond. The water tower was erected in 1972. It has a 100,000 gallon elevated tank with HWL-124'7"; LWL-100'; Diameter-28', and HT-24'7" SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS It is the intent of this solicitation to procure repair and maintenance services for the water tower critical deficiency items and some preventative maintenance items found on the inspection performed July 22, 2025 at Hickory Knob State Resort Park. The water tower was erected in 1972. It has a 100,000 gallon elevated tank with HWL-124'7"; LWL-100'; Diameter-28', and HT-24'7" Scope of work 1. Install locks on primary and secondary roof hatches. (2) 2. Post Confined Space Entry signs on primary and secondary roof hatches. (2) 3. Replace the existing roof vent with a vacuum-pressure, frost proof vent and screen. 4. Perform a dry interior cleanout. Arrange with park manager for emptying water tank prior to work scheduling. 5. Abrasive blast all rusted and abraded interior areas to SSPC-SP10 (near white), and brush blast all remaining interior areas to SSPC-SP7: then apply on (1) spot coat of epoxy primer to all areas blasted to #10, stripe coat all weld seams, apply an epoxy liner to the entire tank to achieve 8 to 10 mils of total dry film thickness. Total mil thickness will include a combination of the existing and new coating. 6. Seam seal all un-welded interior roof lap seams using Sikaflex 1a in conjunction with application of new interior liner as stated in item 4. 7. Install a passive cathodic protection system. 8. Drill additional weep holes in the balcony floor. 9. Electrically ground the tank 10. Remove the coax cable from the exterior tower access ladder and secure it to the tank leg with standoffs.Vendor Staff Qualifications/Responsibilities 1. vendor will provide all materials, labor, equipment and insurance necessary to complete all work. 2. vendor will ensure that all materials and methods of installation comply with industry standards. 3. Vendor shall have good communication skills to engage with park representatives to relay information, report repair issues and update park staff of repair progress. 4. Vendor shall have adequate financial resources to cover the cost of providing the service (equipment, supplies, personnel, etc.) 5. After award but prior to start of work meet with SC PRT staff to plan course of action for project completion. 6. Contractor is responsible for using safety precautions to ensure that their employees, and anyone who may come within the work perimeter, will not be injured. This may include, but not be limited to, the use of appropriate barricades, signs, safety harnesses and equipment, and personnel. 7. Contractor will assume liability for damage or loss resulting from the wrongful acts and/or negligence of his employees while they are on the premises. 8. A Supervisor shall be on site while work is being performed. 9. All personnel assigned by the Contractor for the performance of the work of this contract shall be capable employees who are qualified to do this type of work.
