Okanogan County is accepting proposals from qualified Not-For Profit or Non-Profit businesses to construct and operate a canine health and wellness center on a specified county-owned parcel. A triage station for newly brought in animals will be part of the proposal as well as a storage area for food and other essential donated and acquired items of sufficient size to service the animals housed within. All medication stored on site will be properly stored and safe to prevent theft or damage. The proposed facility should have exterior runs to accommodate canine health and wellness. Proponent shall include in their proposal different options for sizes of runs and kennels according to dog size. The proposed facility will have sufficient HVAC to accommodate a 125% capacity for canine and human occupation.
