The work generally consists of the following: The project is located at the southern end of North Douglas Avenue, where it terminates at the city park in Dunedin. The project proposes to regrade the section of street and install a weir wall to mitigate the sunny day flooding of the area adjacent to the upland cut ditches that drain that small portion of the watershed. Additionally, inlets and a dual pipe system will be installed to discharge to the upland cut ditches adjacent to the existing storm water pond. It will include curb inlets and repaving of the street. The street will be closed to traffic so a detour will be needed, and the parking and access to the city park will need to be addressed. The time allotted for this project is 60 days for substantial completion. The last addendum will be posted to online five (5) days before the bid due stated below. Should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a Contract, the bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance and a Performance and Payment Bond and meet other requirements, as set forth in the contract. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written Contract with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. The City may not respond to RFIs submitted after that date. An addendum posted to online will communicate questions and answers to all respondents. The City reserves the right to modify this schedule at any time. The City of Dunedin, Florida, reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, waive any irregularities or informalities, re-advertise, and award the Contract in its best interest. Bids that are incomplete or that are not submitted in accordance with the instructions in the invitation may be disqualified.
