Demolition, site work and addition to a transportation facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

Questions Due Date: Jan 14th 2026, 2:00 PM MST This project will add an additional bay to Building 5 at Utah Transit Authority's Depot District Garage, located at 669 West 200 South, Salt Lake City. This expansion will provide increased compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling capacity. The CNG Fueling Building Expansion is a renovation of an existing, single-story building to add an additional bus CNG fueling bay. The existing steel frame & masonry veneer building is being expanded to the east to provide a third pullthrough fueling bay. The new fueling bay has high-speed overhead doors at the entrance and exit and is equipped with the infrastructure necessary to expand the fueling operations by 50%. The new bay will match the existing building detailing, exterior masonry veneer and metal panel and will tie into the existing roofing drainage system. Individual scopes of work are described below: Civil The project consists of site improvements associated with the building expansion, including regrading the area east of the existing building for proper drainage away from building expansion area, installation of new concrete paving and curb & gutter, and the addition of storm drain inlet boxes, and connections to water services. The scope also includes coordination of utility adjustments and integration with the expanded facility. Structural The structural engineering scope for the UTA bus fueling facility project includes the design of a single-story fueling bay addition using HI-R insulated CMU block, with a roof structure comprising wide flange beams and open web steel joists. Structural support for mechanical units on the existing CMU building, fuel tank anchorage, and an alternative trench drain design for the existing bays have also been provided to accommodate operational needs of the facility. Mechanical / Plumbing The project consists of providing code required ventilation and exhaust for the new CNG fueling bay addition. Rooftop evaporative cooling units will be installed to provide additional space cooling for the new and existing bays. Supplemental space heating with the use of gas and electric unit heaters to be installed for the new and existing bays. Providing plumbing fixtures, vehicle bay drainage, and adequate roof drainage for the new bay addition. The existing mop sinks to be replaced and trench drains in the existing fueling bays to be replaced for improved drainage. The existing fire protection system to be extended for the new CNG fueling bay addition. Electrical The project includes but is not limited to the following: demolition of the existing exterior wall to expand the fueling bay and ensure compliance with all hazardous area requirements. The scope involves the demolition, modification, extension, or preservation of existing electrical devices associated with the affected wall. Work includes providing new lighting throughout the fueling bay area and extending exterior lighting to align with the original design intent. Power will be supplied for all new mechanical and fueling equipment, along with required data connections. The project also includes installing new data cables and patch panels as needed, as well as providing raceways and rough ins for all building systems. Fire alarm devices will be added or modified as required. Addition of New Cng Fueling Bay to Uta Depot District Bus Service Center Located 669 W 200 S Salt Lake City. New Addition Increases the Speed and Capacity of Center to Allow Greater Intake of Vehicles. Addition Includes 16' Bay Doors Allowing Taller Vehicle Entry and Will Feature the Same Integrated Fuel Management System Existing in the Other Bays to Allow Easy Service to Buses.
