Scope of Work. Participation in this solicitation is limited to prequalified contractors only. Do not submit if you are not on the current Pre-approved/Pre-qualified Vendor list. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. The contract award will be determined by the lowest cost per acre. SITE SPECIFICS: Work under this contract is located on State lands approximately 60 miles West of Milford, Utah in Beaver County. Elevations range from 6,700-7,100 feet. The work location is shown on the attached Project and Reference Maps. The treatment boundaries will be flagged and located by GPS and attached shapefiles or by using the PDF maps attached and the Avenza app. The work location is shown on the site maps. Location and Description: Acreage: 70 Acres Access to the site: Access to the project site is provided by a combination of paved highways, county dirt surface roads, and jeep trails. Four (4) wheel drive vehicles are recommended in and around the project area. It will be the contractor's responsibility to get the equipment to the work siteSPECIFIC TASKS: Only areas shown on the Project Map will be treated. The project areas will not be flagged and it will be the contractors responsibility to identify work units utilizing the provided GIS/GPS shapefiles. A GIS/GPS shapefile will be provided prior to work beginning. The Contractor shall immediately upon entering the project area, begin work, locate control points, section corners, and take such action to prevent their destruction. Cutting: This is a "lop and scatter" contract. All pinyon and juniper trees standing within the project boundaries shall be completely severed from the stump(s). No live limbs shall be left on the stump of cut trees. All main branches or stems shall be cut from the trunk of the tree to meet scattering requirements. The question and answer period closes on the date and time specified on U3P. All questions must be submitted through U3P during the question and answer period. Answers from the State will be posted on U3P. Questions may include notifying the State of any ambiguity, inconsistency, scope exception, excessively restrictive requirement, or other errors in this solicitation. Exceptions/additions to the standard terms and conditions do not need to be addressed during the question and answer period.
