Renovation of an educational facility in Beaver, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Beaver County School District is sending out an Invitations to Bid (ITB) to upgrade flooring, cabinets, sinks, eyewash stations, lockers, countertops and workstations at the Beaver High School Vocational Building. Questions Due Date: May 6th 2025, 2:00 PM MDT All questions must be asked and answered through the online System. Please do NOT message the buyer via email or phone. Reason being, it makes it so everyone gets the same information and all questions and answers are open to the public through the Bonfire Q&A Board. BID SECURITY Bidders will be required to provide bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid, at the time the bid is submitted, if the bid amount is $50,000 or greater. A cashier's, certified, or official check drawn by a federally insured financial institution made payable to the (BCSD) board of education. The successful bidder must submit to the BCSD school board full performance and payment bonds in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price for any job that is $50,000 or greater. All surety firms must be authorized to do business in the state of Utah and be listed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury circular 570, companies holding certificates of authority as acceptable securities on federal bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies for an amount not less than the amount of the bond to be issued. A co surety may be utilized to satisfy this requirement. The purchase order will not be transmitted to the contractor, work cannot begin and no payments will be made until bonds have been received by BCSD. Bonding costs must be included in the bid price. AWARD OR REJECTION OF BIDS The bids will be opened in a public bid opening. The award of the contract shall not be based solely upon the contractor's price. The contractor's qualifications, subcontractors list, cost breakdown, proposed construction schedule and contractor's project references shall be considered in awarding the contract. The owner, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any bid. The District reserves the right to accept part or all of any bid. Scope of Work: The selected contractor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 1. Demolition and Disposal: Removal and proper disposal of all existing flooring materials, cabinets, lockers, sinks, eyewash stations, countertops, and workbenches from both the metal and wood shop areas. Ensure all disposal adheres to local and state regulations. Site preparation for new installations, including ensuring subfloors are clean and level for epoxy application. 2. Epoxy Flooring: Supply and installation of a durable, industrial-grade epoxy flooring system in both the metal and wood shop areas. Include any necessary surface preparation, priming, and sealing. 3. Cabinets: Supply and installation of new, durable cabinets in both shop areas. Include any necessary mounting and securing to walls and/or floors. 4. Lockers: Supply and installation of new lockers in designated areas within or adjacent to the shops. Include proper anchoring to walls and/or floors. 5. Sinks: Supply and installation of new industrial-grade sinks in designated locations within both shops. Include all necessary plumbing connections (supply and drain). Supply and installation of new, compliant eyewash stations in accessible locations within both shops. Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., ANSI Z358.1). Include all necessary plumbing connections (supply and drain). 7. Countertops: Supply and installation of new, durable countertops for work areas in both shops. Include any necessary support structures. 8. Workbenches: Supply and installation of new, robust workbenches suitable for metalworking and woodworking activities.. Ensure secure anchoring to the floor if required. Project Timeline: Project Completion Deadline: July 31, 2025 (Contractors should indicate their ability to meet this deadline in their bids). Before submitting a bid, each bidder shall visit the site of work, shall fully inform himself or herself as to all existing conditions, and take measurements of the project sites. Bids need to include square footage, what product is being used and all specifications for that product. A timeline of when work will be started and be completed must also be included in the bid.
