The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the investigation ofwater service line materials by means of vacuum excavation. The Work will include exposing and identifying the existing service line material, all restoration, and all other Work required in accordance with the Contract Documents. As part ofthe Work, a vacuum excavation shall be completed on the Public Side and/or the Private side ofthe existing curb box to identify the existing service line material, as shown or directed. The Public Side is defined as the water service from the waterline to the curb box or right-of-way. The Private Side is defined as the water service from the curb box or right-of-way to the water meter within the dwelling. Question Deadline 11/24/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent ofthe Bidding Documents shall be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by ENGINEER at least ten (10) days prior to the date for the opening of Bids. The work consists of the furnishing of all labor, plant, tools, equipment, and specified materials or services for the investigation of water service line materials by vacuum excavations along various streets within the Erie County Water Authority's Service Area, Erie County, New York. Bids must be received in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project title and number. Only official planholders will be allowed to bid, and bidders are responsible for reviewing all components of the contract documents. Printed copies of the contract documents can be purchased from Avalon Document Services, and the fee is non-refundable. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept any bid deemed in its best interest, even if it is not the lowest bid. All questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents are to be submitted in writing to the designated contact person. This project has a Women and Minority Business Enterprise goal of 10%.
