The City of Girard, Ohio is requesting a "Statement of Qualifications" from qualified engineering and/or architectural firms to provide engineering and/or architectural services for the design of new and renovation projects, surveying, design engineering, general city engineering services, and construction administration services for the City of Girard. The specific types of projects may include: General City Engineering projects, preparation of Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) Grant Applications, City Street Paving Programs, building and roofing renovations, site and property surveys, lead service line removal plans, waterlines, water booster stations, sanitary sewer system evaluation engineering (SSES), storm and sanitary sewers, wastewater pumping stations and construction administration and inspection services for Girard LPA Federal Local Let Projects. Projects may be financed with local funding, OPWC (Ohio Public Works Commission) funding, OWDA funding and/or ODOT Administered Federal Funding. ODOT Pre-Qualification to perform these services is a requirement. Knowledge of and conformance with the requirements of appropriate funding and or regulating agencies is required. Work to be performed for the City of Girard may include preparation of design plans and cost estimates, site work, roadway and bridge projects, structural engineering, and construction inspection services for selected city infrastructure improvement projects. It is the intent of the City of Girard to solicit statements of qualifications from firms interested in providing such services. Statement of Qualifications should include information regarding the firm's history; education and experience of the owners and key technical personnel; the technical expertise of the current staff; the firm's experience in designing and inspecting construction of similar projects; proximity to the City of Girard; availability of staff; the firm's equipment and facilities; references and any previous work performed for the City of Girard. Upon receipt of the "Statement of Qualifications", it is the intent of the City of Girard to prepare a list of prequalified firms to provide engineering services. Evaluation of firms for inclusion on the prequalified list and notification and evaluation of firms for specific projects will be as required by Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.67-71. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
