The successful bidder will provide proof of enrollment in the federal E-Verify program and in compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer & Citizen Protection Act (Act 211-535). Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the owner will be eligible to bid for the project. Pre-qualified bidders may obtain electronic bid documents from the architect. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the office of the architect and Constructconnect Plan Room after pre-qualified general contractors are notified. Pre-qualification requirements: Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the owner will be eligible to bid. Any person or firm wishing to apply for pre-qualification may obtain a copy of the owner's pre-qualification application requirements from the architect. Applications for pre-qualification must be received by the architect by the deadline specified. The owner will complete the pre-qualification process and name the general contractors who are approved to bid the project. The owner reserves the right to modify or abandon the pre-qualification process at any time prior to its completion.
