Provide materials, machinery, equipment, labor, and utilities to maintain approximately 110 miles of sublateral consisting of mechanical removal of aquatic vegetation, restoring sublateral profiles, installing sumps, grinding overhanging limbs, removing trees in bottom of sublaterals, mowing top of banks and slopes, spraying aquatic vegetation, clearing, bank restoration, and emergency response repairs to complete the specified items as more specifically outlined in the Bid Documents. Bids may be sent by mail or hand delivered to 109 N. Willow Street, Fellsmere, Florida 32948. Bids received after the time set for the opening of the bids will not be considered and will be returned unopened, subject to the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders. Bids will be accepted only from Bidders who attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Copies of the instructions to bidders, bid forms, scope of work, and other bidding documents may be obtained for download at no charge from www://fellsmerewatercontroldistrict.org or by purchasing hard copy versions from Mark Mathes, FWCD, 109 N. Willow Street, Fellsmere, FL 32948, for $25.00, non-refundable. All bids shall be submitted on the Bid Proposal forms provided in the Specifications. Bid security will not be required. If the Contract is awarded to a Bidder, that Bidder shall enter into a Contract with the FWCD and furnish the required Certificates of Insurance within ten (10) days following the award. The FWCD reserves the right to delay awarding the Contract up to sixty (60) days after the bid opening, to waive informalities in any bid, or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will serve the best interests of the FWCD.
