Site work for a water / sewer project in Creston, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Proposals are being accepted for the Creston West Street Water Main Improvements Project. The scope includes water main reconnections, hydrant replacements, valve replacements, 4” water main abandonment, water service line reconnections, pavement restoration, and site restoration throughout the Village. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond for not less than five percent of the total proposal amount. Contractor prequalification categories must relate to the majority of the work being performed. All bidders are urged to use local subcontractors, suppliers, and trades as much as possible. Labor rates must meet the General Prevailing Rate of Wages for the Village of Creston, Ogle County, Illinois. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive information, or accept any proposal considered in its best interest. No bid may be withdrawn without written consent for forty-five days after bid opening.
