Site work and paving for a road / highway in Taber, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Current site south of the Scope Dam is currently a greenfield site and the road is expected to extend 4 miles north of HWY 875 up to TWP Rd 13-0 then one mile north of HWY 875 it goes east 1 mile to include access to the sections adjacent to that. The North/South section will be considered RR 14-3, the East/west section will be called TWP Rd 12-4. This project aims to provide access to land that is to be irrigated in the near future while maintaining a strong public perception and stakeholder accountability. TIMELINE: Request for proposals from consulting firms has been awarded. The consultant is to develop the complete design, permitting, tendering and construction management for the Scope Reservoir Road development project. The final design will provide the new gravel roads along the designated alignment south of Scope Reservoir. Construction is planned for 2026. Further update may be available in spring. *Budget is unreleased.
