Binghamton University is seeking a contractor to perform work in two dormitory buildings: Brandywine and Choconut. For Brandywine: Remove and dispose of existing bathroom medicine cabinets in 30 apartments, infill, tape and paint walls, then install surface-mounted mirrors provided by Binghamton University. Remove and dispose of existing wire shelving in all apartment bedrooms and pantries, and install University-supplied wire shelving. Remove and dispose of all accordion closet and pantry doors and tracks, patch, prep and paint all walls and doors throughout all apartment rooms, common hallways, cluster areaways, lounge, and laundry area. Paint standard Susquehanna color with an accent at the kitchen (color to be provided). For Choconut Offices: Remove and dispose of all accordion doors and tracks at closets and pantries, patch and prep for paint on all walls and doors, and paint standard Susquehanna Community Color. Remove and dispose of kitchen cabinetry, countertops, bathroom fixtures, and associated plumbing. Conduct minor demolition of walls, demo portions of the ceiling and install new. Cut hole in existing masonry wall for new PTAC units (units installed by HVAC contractor). Provide and install blocking for new PTAC units (units installed by HVAC contractor). Frame new walls and prep for paint. Remove entry lighting, reinstall one salvaged light. Install new switches and designated outlets for PTAC units. Install salvaged doors and doors provided by Binghamton University.
