Site work for a municipal facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade municipal facility.
OPWDD's Broome DDSO is requesting quotes for a facilities, maintenance, repair, and building operations construction project. Attendance at a site visit is mandatory prior to submitting a quote. Interested companies must review the attached documents and submit their quotes on the Official Bid Form provided, including a breakdown of materials and labor costs. This is a public works project and prevailing wages must be paid. Vendors and sub-contractors must be registered with the NYS Department of Labor and provide proof of registration with their quote. The method of award will be to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. The awarded vendor must adhere to time frames outlined in the scope of work and provide certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance, completed Lobbying Law Forms, and a signed Appendix A. No concessions will be made for misunderstandings regarding project details. Broome DDSO's interpretation of specifications is final and binding. Any questions or request for clarification regarding the information provided may be directed to brm.bids@opwdd.ny.gov. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Refer to the attached floor plan(s) for desired data port locations. 2. Contractor shall be Ortronics certified a minimum level CI installer and show competency with Superior Essex Fiber Optic products, submitted along with your bid(s). 3. All Contractors are required to be registered with the Dept. of Labor in accordance with NYS Labor Law 220-i. 4. Contractor to run multi-mode 6 strand, 50micron fiber optic from 2D28 to 2A24. 5. All optical fiber cable products shall be manufactured by Superior Essex. including, but not limited to fiber connectors. 6. Contractor to provide: LC connectors on the ends and fiber panel where needed, at existing panels. 7. Contractor to provide Fiber enclosures and adapters as required. 8. Upon Completion the Contractor shall include Fiber in the "As Built" Drawings required in the Cabling Scope and Complete testing report for all fiber circuits. 9. The Contractor is responsible for wall & barrier penetration and fire caulk as required. 10. Refer to attached drawing that shows rated wall assemblies and fire caulk to the existing rating. 11. Contractor will remove and properly dispose of all waste generated as a result of this project. 12. Contractor shall be responsible to cut all access holes, re-install cut gypsum board. Tape and paint by others. As Required. 13. Contractor shall warrantee work for a period of one year from date of payment for job. Warrantee shall be for parts and labor. 14. Work shall conform to all applicable codes, be done according to manufacturer's instructions, and follow industry best practices.
