Sealed bids are invited for Kingsport Justice Center Security Cameras for the Second Floor. Copies of documents are available at the office of the City Engineer for a fee of $50.00 per set. All Minority and Women-Owned contractors are encouraged to participate. A bid bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the bid is required. The successful bidder must execute acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All bidders must have appropriate contractor licensing as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 (TCA Title 62, Chapter 6). No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope contains: the Contractor's license number, license expiration date, and a quotation of the part of the classification applying to the bid; as well as the subcontractor licensing information where applicable. If no subcontractors are used, the envelope must state "No Subcontractors are being used on this project." By submitting, bidders certify compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the closing time. All bids should be signed, sealed, and marked for the specified project. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and re-advertise if necessary.
