Site work for a water / sewer project in Kingsport, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are requested for the FY25 Ridgefields Sewer Rehabilitation Project. Documents may be obtained from the City Engineer's office for a fee of $50.00. Bidders must provide a bid bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must execute Performance and Payment Bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994. The outside of the sealed bid envelope must display the contractor's license number, license expiration date, and relevant classification. For certain subcontracted work, subcontractors' license details or the statement that the subcontractor's bid is below specified thresholds must be included, or "No Subcontractors are being used on this project" if applicable. By submitting a bid, the bidder certifies compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the bid opening. All bids must be signed, sealed, and addressed to the Procurement Manager and marked for the specified project. The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and re-advertise as needed. Minority and Women-Owned contractors are encouraged to participate.
