Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Scotia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Town of Scotia, through the LCOG, is requesting written quotes from qualified contractors for the Town of Scotia Park Improvements Project funded by the CDBG Program. The Town of Scotia proposes to make the town park inclusive to all users by installing additional ADA-accessible playground equipment. The existing playground currently includes a stand-alone slide and two swing sets, which will remain. The improvements will include installation of an ADAaccessible play system, ADA-accessible merry-go-round, and ADA-accessible swing set. Only the playground area will be addressed in this project. LCOG will assist the Town with procurement, and the Town will review and approve the final design prior to installation. No land acquisition is required, as the Town of Scotia owns the park. The total project cost is estimated at $82,204.00. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with 2 CFR 200 and applicable federal and state regulations. The Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) applies to all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project. Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply only if labor costs exceed 20% of the total project cost, under the Highway Wage Determination.
