Contractors are invited to bid on the 32 Cherry Street Fire Alarm System Replacement for Buildings and General Services in Burlington, Vermont. This project consists of, but is not limited to: performing all work and providing all material and equipment as shown on the Drawings or as specified. All work must be completely coordinated with the work of all trades and provide for a complete and fully functional installation in all respects. The work includes, but is not limited to: removing and replacing the existing fire alarm panel as shown on the drawings; removing and replacing fire alarm system devices with new wiring and conduits, to include but not limited to pull stations, smoke detectors, and horn/strobes as shown on the drawings; and removing existing fire alarm system wiring to the greatest extent possible. Bidder instructions include: all notifications, releases, and addendums will be posted on-line in the plan room where the original solicitation resides; it is the responsibility of each contractor to periodically check the posting site; on occasion, hard copy addendums may be required due to size or type of media/requirements, in which case addenda will be mailed or delivered for each set of plans and specifications issued. Bidders must state the number of addenda received on the proposal. All communications concerning this Invitation to Bid are to be addressed in writing to the State Contact listed. Any vendor requiring clarification must submit specific questions in writing by the deadline. Bidder’s attention is directed to read and comply with all requirements, thoroughly review general conditions for construction contracts, and submit required attachments including bonding requirements, technical response, references, price schedule, and signed certificate of compliance. Full bonding is required for this job. All bids must be submitted electronically via a single, digitally searchable PDF attachment, and must be received by the State by the due date specified.
