Renovation of a municipal facility in Burlington, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of December 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Request for price quotation. The City of Burlington is seeking a qualified contractor to repair and restore the eight exterior wood doors at City Hall, a historically significant, 1928, McKim, Mead & White designed building. Wood Door Preservation Work includes, but is not limited to providing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the restoration of the wood doors, as specified in the attached full RFP document. Questions Due: November 25, 2025 12:00 PM Answers Posted: November 26, 2025 12:00 PM. Liquidated Damages for Contractor's Delay. Except for delays caused primarily by the City's own fault, and except in case of a force majeure event promptly reported to the City as required in the Contract Documents, if the Work is not completed by the foregoing date, the City shall be entitled to assess liquidated damages in an amount up to $500 per day for each business day that the completion of the Work is delayed. The City is not responsible for payment of damages for delays not caused by the City's own fault, or for suspension of the work by the City in its sole discretion up to ninety (90) days in aggregate. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to negotiate with one or more parties, or to award the contract to the proposal the City deems will meet its best interests, even if that proposal is not the lowest bid. The City reserves the right to re-advertise for additional proposals and to extend the deadline for submission of the proposals. This Request for Proposals in no way obligates the City to award a contract.
