Reference Number 0000403757 Bid Intent Not Available The Town of Gypsum ("Town") is seeking statements of qualifications (SOQ) to provide professional engineering services to advance the design for the I-70 Eagle Airport Interchange located in Gypsum between the Gypsum and Eagle Interstate 70 (I-70) exits. The proposed interchange will provide for direct access to the Eagle County Regional Airport and supports regional capacity solutions to support mobility along the Highway 6 corridor, as well as other significant regional corridors. This interchange vision started in the 1990s with the Colorado Department of Transportation leading an interchange concept study, Environmental Assessment (EA), Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), and a substantially completed design which was ultimately shelved in 2009 and never constructed. The Town has picked up the project as the lead agency and has restarted the planning phase of the project. A feasibility study was completed in 2025 which proposed a preferred recommended alternative to be carried into a National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) study as part of this contract.
