**As of December 30, 2025, the project was awarded to the following contractor: Field Lighting Package 026B - Westphal Electric – $221,990.00 Synthetic Turf System Package 032B - Sprinturf, LLC – $469,665.00 Synthetic Track Surfacing Package 032C - Midwest Track Builders – $182,197.00 , with a total awarded amount of $873,852.00** The scope of work for the Galena High School Track & Field Project includes, but is not limited to: demolition of existing structures, site utilities, earthwork, retaining walls, paving, building concrete, site concrete, athletic equipment, artificial turf, athletic track surfacing, fencing, storm drainage, field lighting, and restoration. For Bid Package 2, bids are specifically sought for field lighting, synthetic turf system, and synthetic track surface. Each bid must be submitted on the provided Bid Form in a sealed envelope with the Project Name, Bid Package number, and Company name and address. Alteration of the bid form may be cause for rejection. Each bid must include bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Credit Union Certified Share Draft, or an approved Bond Form payable to Galena USD #120. The successful bidder must provide a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price. Bid security may be retained as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails to meet necessary requirements. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the bid opening. Do not include Illinois State Sales Tax in bid calculations; contractors and suppliers will be provided a tax exemption certificate. All requested forms and attachments must be included in the bid submission. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities.
