The property will be leased from the University of New Mexico. Sitting at one of the most prominent corners on campus, the Center for Philanthropy will serve as an impressive gateway to all aspects of UNM and exemplify UNM's 2040 focus on achieving a "One University" mindset. The Center for Philanthropy first and foremost will elevate the culture of philanthropy by serving as an iconic representation of the critical role that philanthropic support has and will play in the life of UNM. It will be a donor-centric space that is welcoming and inspires and honors donor engagement with the University. The building will be constructed to express the "You are in New Mexico" feeling while communicating UNM is a global leader dedicated to the future of not only our community, but for global impact. Importantly, too, the building will house the Foundation's operations. The building will support administrative needs for the Foundation including offices, meeting rooms, support spaces and Donor Engagement Opportunities. The program will include one large multi-purpose space to be used for 50 person meetings. This space can be subdivided for two smaller groups and can also open up to a Lobby to support events hosted by the Foundation or other community members. Programs on the ground floor will include a Conference Room, Donor Meeting Room, and the Receptionist at a Secure Access Point. For Foundation employees that are officed across the campus or are working from home, touch-down space will be provided for short visits to the building.
