Site work, paving and new construction of an industrial development in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade industrial development.
The project involves providing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for a new facility for Grounds, Landscaping, Recycling, and a Small Engineer Repair Shop. The scope includes a pre-engineered metal building with spaces for landscaping, grounds, recycling, and a small engineer repair shop. Facility components will include an administration area, training areas, staff offices, and indoor warehouse storage. Exterior site improvements will consist of a covered canopy, open material bins in concrete block enclosures, parking for trailers and equipment, recycling and storage bins, a trash compactor, a conditioned storage shed, and a covered loading dock. Site finishing will be full paving and incorporation of native New Mexico landscaping along University Blvd. Instructions to bidders require uploading a letter of interest (signed by an executive and no more than two pages), completion of a general contractor qualifications packet, and responses to various evaluation criteria covering past performance, project team presentation, projected challenges, ability to meet time and budget requirements, experience with local subcontractors and suppliers, and description of recent and projected workloads. Additional instructions include the requirement to review and submit insurance coverage as specified, complete all attached qualification and certification forms, and, if applicable, provide certifications for resident, veteran, and disadvantaged business status. There are also requirements to submit documentation on safety plans, insurance and claims history, licensing, surety, and quality assurance processes. Written qualifications are limited to a maximum of thirty (30) pages, excluding some specified cover documents and forms, and submissions should follow the specified format. The Total Project Budget, including all hard and soft costs, is $13,966,000. The estimated Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for this Project is currently budgeted at $10,700,000.
