Renovation of an educational facility in Lebanon, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,300-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.

The scope of the project includes HVAC improvements to the cafeteria/gymnasium and the main office, inclusive of an alternate for the full roof replacement over the cafeteria/gymnasium. The contract documents define the full project scope. Bids are to be received for a lump sum price for the entire project, all trades included, and must be from bidders pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following categories: General Construction, General Construction/Alterations/Additions, or HVACR. Bidders must also be prequalified for, or include documentation for prequalified subcontractors for, certain classifications such as Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron, Plumbing, HVACR, and Electrical. Additional requirements and qualifications for both bidders and subcontractors are outlined, including submission of certificates, affidavits, and compliance with state statutes relating to prequalification, contractor registration, business registration, and workforce reporting. No modifications to the instructions to bidders, conditions, or specifications will be accepted except through formal addenda as allowed in the specifications. Bids proposing modifications to requirements will be rejected as non-responsive. Bids must be accompanied by bid security and certificates as specified, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as defined by the applicable statute. Withdrawals are not allowed for sixty days after bid opening, and the Board of Education reserves the right to reject any non-responsive bid or all bids, or waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions as may be in its best interest.
