Kahlotus School District #056 is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified professional firms to provide engineering services in support of capital improvements, which may include modernization of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; roof replacement; and safety and security upgrades at the K-12 school. Services may include construction special inspections and testing, and hazardous materials testing and consulting. Firms may submit qualifications for one or both service areas, and joint submissions or partnerships are welcome. Qualified individuals and firms lawfully engaged in the practice of engineering and/or consulting services under Chapter 18 RCW are encouraged to apply. Statements of Qualifications must be submitted electronically (preferred) or by mail, limited to one single-page cover letter and a maximum of ten one-sided or five double-sided 8½" x 11" pages per discipline, using a minimum 11-point font. Submissions must include firm background and qualifications, experience with public school districts, public school references with contacts, resumes of key personnel with project-specific experience, and availability to begin work immediately. Submissions will be evaluated based on relevant experience with public school projects, qualifications of key personnel, availability and capacity to begin work, and responsiveness to RFQ requirements. The District may select a roster of firms to provide services as needed. The District reserves the right to cancel or reissue the RFQ prior to execution of any contract.
