Needville ISD New Elementary School: Construction of a single-story building, including general construction, sitework, site furnishings, playground equipment, landscaping, kitchen equipment, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, millwork, fixed equipment, finishes, and any other scope required for the new elementary school building and site. This building is to include classrooms, offices, restrooms, storage rooms, cafeteria, gym, utility rooms. Construction is to be completed in 14 months. The project will be located at the intersection of Hwy 36 and Needville Fairchilds Road in Needville, Texas. First Floor = 125,344 SF 2nd Floor Mechanical Platforms = 3,475 SF Porches = 1,257 SF Total Building SF = 129,448 SF Start Date 01/02/2026 Finish Date 05/01/2027 Proposal security in the form of a Proposal Bond (Section 00 61 00) made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to 5% of the largest possible total of the proposal will be required for all proposals. Per Government Code Sec. 2269.258. PERFORMANCE OR PAYMENT BOND the following shall be followed: A. If a fixed contract amount or guaranteed maximum price has not been determined at the time the contract is awarded, the penal sums of the performance and payment bonds delivered to the governmental entity must each be in an amount equal to the construction budget, as specified in the request for proposals or qualifications. B. The construction manager-at-risk shall deliver the bonds not later than the 10th day after the date the construction manager-at-risk executes the contract unless the construction manager-at-risk furnishes a bid bond or other financial security acceptable to the governmental entity to ensure that the construction manager will furnish the required performance and payment bonds when a guaranteed maximum price is established. C. Guaranty Bonds 1. Guaranty Bonds in the form of a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond may be required from any subcontractor whose proposal is in excess of $100,000 at the option of the Construction Manager.
