Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Marshfield, Vermont. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; for paving for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The scope of work includes the following: For Onion River Road, Bridge 27, the work involves installing a temporary bypass road, removing a temporary bridge, demolishing the old bridge, installing a new bridge (95’ clear span, NEDBT40 precast superstructure on integral abutments supported by driven h-piles), rock armoring, roadway construction, and associated work. For Sass Ave, Bridge 17, the work includes demolishing the old bridge, installing a new bridge (75’ clear span, NEXT36D precast superstructure on integral abutments supported by driven h-piles), rock armoring, roadway construction, removing the temporary bridge, and associated work. Instructions to bidders specify that a mandatory pre-bid conference is required, and bids will not be accepted from bidders that do not attend. Further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award are provided in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents.
