Pinckney Jasper County Government Building 358 3rd Avenue, Third Floor Ridgeland, SC 29936 SCOPE OF WORK o Mobilization o Mobilize needed equipment to the job site, including portable toilets and jobsite protection. o Document the structure's existing condition. Note any visible damage not to be replaced and notify the County for direction before proceeding with demolition. o Demolition o Remove all existing decking and rails on the walkway and ramps. Do not remove decking and rails within the gazebo and screened porch. Remove the built-in benches. o Remove and preserve the grab bar on the entrance ramp for reuse. o Protect the lighting attached to the railing for reinstallation. o Materials o Supply all pressure-treated lumber, fasteners, hardware, and other construction materials necessary for the project. o Lumber materials shall be .60cca treated KDAT. o Decking shall be 2" x 8" #1 grade lumber. o Bolts, washers, and nuts shall be hot-dipped galvanized. o Screws shall be 316 stainless steel. o Wood sealer shall be exterior grade clear satin oil-based polyurethane. o Ensure all materials meet applicable codes, standards, and durability requirements. o Installation o Install new decking and railings on the walkway and ramps. Board size shall match or exceed existing. o Replace 4"x4" posts bolted to the timber pile mounted joists. o Refurbish grab bar by repairing damage, straighten as needed, refinishing and reinstalling. o Construct 15-foot deck extension, including steps, handrails, and sidewalk extension to steps. o Repair damaged lattice. o Porch extension includes lattice to match existing. o Replace any other damaged or wood rot materials noted. o Polyurethane all new work and existing wood in the project limits. o Work must be permitted and completed in accordance with code. o Maintain compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. o General Conditions o Provide administrative oversight, site management, and project coordination. o Furnish dumpsters and manage waste disposal in compliance with local regulations. o Maintain a safe and clean work site throughout the project.
